Worship is the central part of a life in Christ. Worship is supposed to be together, as a Church, as the Body of Christ. There have always been times in Christian history that we haven't been able to get together. These times of trial and lament are our testament that we, God's children, are able to hold fast to His Word, His love, and His life.

Heb 10:25 Let us not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Altar Flowers

Given to the glory of the LORD by Diana Dell in loving memory of her mother,
Gail Johnson, for her first Christmas in Heaven.

Hope Was Born This Night

Tonight I can see a star shine
And its splendor fills up the sky
It's the same that appeared and the wise men revered
When hope was born this night

Out upon the snowy fields
There's a silent peace that heals
And it echoes the grace of our Savior's embrace
Because hope was born this night

Glory to God in the highest
Peace on Earth, good will to all men
Let all of the world sing the chorus of joy
Because hope was born this night

I can hear the Christmas bells ring
As softly as a church choir sings
It's the song used to praise the ancient of days
When hope was born this night

There are angels in this place
And my heart resounds with the praise
Like a shepherd so scared, I'll rejoice and declare
That hope was born this night

Glory to God in the highest
Peace on Earth, good will to all men
Let all of the world sing the chorus of joy
Because hope was born this night

Gloria, Gloria
Gloria, Gloria
Oh Gloria

Gloria, Gloria
Oh Gloria
Gloria, Gloria

Glory to God in the highest
Peace on Earth, good will to all men
Let all the world sing the chorus of joy
Because hope was born this night

Glory to God in the highest
Peace on Earth, good will to all men
Let all the world sing the chorus of joy
Because hope was born this night

I know hope was born this night
Because Christ was born this night

Glory (Let There Be Peace)

One star burns in the darkness
Shines with the promise, Emmanuel
One child born in the stillness
Living within us, Emmanuel

We're singing glory, glory
Let there be peace, let there be peace
Singing glory, glory
Let there be peace, let it start in me

One voice speaks for the voiceless
Hope for the hopeless, Emmanuel
One love brings us together
Now and forever, Emmanuel

We're singing glory, glory
Let there be peace, let there be peace
Singing glory, glory
Let there be peace, let it start in me

Do not be afraid His love is strong enough to save us
Nothing stands in the way His love is strong enough to lead us
Do not be afraid His love is strong enough to save us
Nothing stands in the way His love is strong enough to lead us

We sing glory, glory let there be peace, let there be peace
Singing glory, glory let there be peace, let it start in me
Singing glory, glory let there be peace, let there be peace
Singing glory, glory let there be peace, let it start in me
Let there be peace, let it start in me

Sermon

Sing Mary Sing

Mary Had A Baby Born In A Manger
Mary What To Do, Mary What To Do?
Before The Vow Was Made,
In Her Belly Laid The King

Sing Mary, Sing
Lullabye The King
Born To Be Our Pardon
No Longer Shall We Weep
Come Soften What Was Hardened
Sing Mary, Sing
Herod With A Vision Out With A Vengeance
Mary What To Do, Mary What To Do?
Flee To Galilee
Raise A Baby King Of Peace

Sing Mary, Sing
Lullabye The King
Born To Be Our Pardon
No Longer Shall We Weep
Come Soften What Was Hardened
Sing Mary, Sing
Herod With A Vision Out With A Vengeance
Mary What To Do, Mary What To Do?
Flee To Galilee
Raise A Baby King Of Peace

Mary In Your Mourning
Turn Now As You Weep
Look To See A Savior
O, Sing Mary, Sing!
Sing Mary, Sing!

Prayers of the people

Pastor Concludes: ...Lord in your mercy

Congregation: Hear our prayer (Repeated)

Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty

     creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit

and born of the virgin Mary.

     He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

     He descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again.

     He ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

     the holy catholic Church,

     the communion of the saints,

     the forgiveness of sins,

     the resurrection of the body,

     and the life everlasting. Amen.

Offering

Giving back what God has first given to us: our time, our money, our priority

Better

All the money that the world could hold
Mountains made of solid gold
Riches that could buy my dreams
You are better than all these things

The prettiest face to turn their eyes
Beauty that could hypnotize
The open doors that looks may bring
You are better than all these things

Your love is better than life
You are the well that won't run dry
I have tasted and I have seen
Oh, You are better than all these things

Power that could shake the moon
Most important one in every room
Status matched by only kings
You are better than all these things

Your love is better than life
You are the well that won't run dry
I have tasted and I have seen
You are better than all these things
Oh, Your love is better than life
You are the well that won't run dry
I have tasted and I have seen
You are better than all these things

Being liked and loved by everyone
Approval that outshines the sun
Cheered by all who think of me
You are better than all these things
You are better than all these things

You are better, oh, You're better
I have tasted and I have seen
You are better than all these things
Oh, Your love is better than life
You are the well that never runs dry
I have tasted and I have seen
You are better than all these things
You are better than all these things

Oh, I know You are better than all these things
I know You are better than all these things
I know You are better than all these things
You are better than I can imagine
Better than I can imagine, over, above what I seek
Better than I can imagine, Your love for me
Better than I can imagine, over, above what I seek in life

You are better than all these things
Woah, I know You are better than all these things
Woah, I know You are better than all these things
Better than I can imagine

Benediction

The Eucharist

Leader:  The Lord be with you.

People:  And also with you.

Leader:  Lift up your hearts.

People:  We lift them to the Lord.

Leader:  Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

People:  It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Leader:  It is indeed right...

… our duty and our joy that we should at all times, and in all places,

give thanks and praise to you, almighty and merciful God,

through our Savior Jesus Christ. Fulfilling the promise of the resurrection,

You pour out the fire of your Spirit,

Uniting in one body people of every nation, and tongue, and time.

And so, with Paul and Peter and all the witnesses of the resurrection

with earth and sea and all their creatures, and

with angels and archangels, cherubim and seraphim, we praise your name and join in their unending hymn:

All: Holy, holy, holy Lord

God of pow'r and might,

heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna. Hosanna. Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.

Leader: On the night in which He was betrayed our Lord

Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to His disciples saying:

take and eat. This is my body given for you.

Do this for the remembrance of me.

Again, after supper, He took the cup, blessed it and gave it to His disciples saying:

this cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin.

Do this for the remembrance of me.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

  hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.  Amen.
