Wednesday Morning

Open my lips, O Lord,

And my mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence

And take not your Holy Spirit from me.

Give me the joy of your saving help again

And sustain me with your bountiful Spirit.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 119:73-96

Take a moment in silence to reflect on the Scripture reading and the following question for today:

What reminds you of all the reasons you have to be grateful?

Prayers for Others Today: Take some time to pray out loud on behalf of others. If in a group, you may be led to share your prayer requests in order to pray for one another.

Our Father,

Who is in heaven

Hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,

Forever and ever. Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God, you made the universe with all its marvelous order, its atoms, worlds, and galaxies, and the infinite complexity of living creatures: Grant that, as we probe the mysteries of your creation, we may come to know you more truly, and more surely fulfill our role in your eternal purpose; in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.

Wednesday Evening

O gracious Light,

Pure brightness of the ever living Father in heaven,

O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!

Now as we come to the setting of the sun,

And our eyes behold the evening light,

We sing your praises O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

You are worthy at all times to be praised by all voices,

O Son of God, O Giver of life,

And to be glorified through all the worlds.

O God, in the course of this busy life, give us times of refreshment and peace; and grant that we may so use our leisure to rebuild our body and renew our minds, that our spirits may be opened to the goodness of your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
